Sales & Retail Representative
Welcome to BC Bee Supply where we provide our customers with high quality customer service and a pleasant shopping experience. This position will have you helping customers learn more about our products, services, course options and to help them make informed decisions about their beekeeping purchases and practices. We pride ourselves in supporting customer success in beekeeping!
This job is ideal for a self starting, independent worker that can grow with the position and our growing company. Most aspects of the job can be trained for the right candidate.
Responsibilities and Duties
Primary Responsibility – Assisting customers in store, over the phone, and via email with product, service & general beekeeping inquiries.
Taking orders from customers and providing product solutions. Processing of orders and payments.
Efficiently processing quotes, orders and invoices will be a continuous requirement, as will the correct entry and processing of payment.
Autonomously keeping customer and stock lists organized, updated and accurate.
Filling orders from customers, order picking and packing, & preparation for shipping.
Conduct opening & closing procedures including daily sales reconciliation.
Merchandising the shop in an attractive, shoppable setting.
Upkeep and restocking of displays, and shipping area.
Maintaining the general tidiness and cleanliness of the shop and stockroom.
Product building with power tools.
Participation in the mandatory year-end inventory.
This position requires very little direct beekeeping, but this role may offer opportunities to do so in the future.
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Competent knowledge of at least the basics of beekeeping skills. Knowledge of
beekeeping equipment, tools, diseases, pests and their treatments. At least one season of beekeeping, formal education, or several years of hobby beekeeping experience and the ability to demonstrate your knowledge and willingness to learn more.
Previous retail, sales and/or management experience is an asset.
Basic computer competency, including use of email, Google Docs/Sheets, MS Excel, Trello, Canva and Shopify.
Warehouse and/or order fulfillment experience is an asset.
Experience with social media and online platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and newsletter platforms.

Marketing Technician
Welcome to BC Bee Supply where we provide our customers with high quality customer service and a pleasant shopping experience. This position will have you marketing to customers through in-store techniques and online shopping, social media, and special events.
This job is a retail store position with a focus for marketing and is ideal for a self starting, independent marketing professional that can grow with the position and our growing company.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Work in the retail store to properly understand the targeted customer base
(beekeepers) and continually improve the company website and marketing
materials.
2. Understanding and using Shopify as the POS and website platform.
3. Apply Shopify and other marketing tools to reach and expand our customer base.
4. Plan and implement classes and events.
5. Create marketing materials and signage for products, services and events.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Essential
